Everything You Need to Know Before Your Puerto Rico Escape

El Conquistador Resort is located at 1000 El Conquistador Avenue in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. The resort is approximately one hour from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan. Guests arriving by car can use the resort address for navigation; those who prefer a transfer may arrange shuttle or private transportation through the resort's transportation partner, First Class Destination Solutions.

El Conquistador Resort is about an hour's drive from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), depending on traffic and travel conditions. Advance transportation arrangements are recommended, especially for groups and early or late arrivals.

Airport shuttle transportation can be arranged through the resort's transportation partner, First Class Destination Solutions. Private transportation options are also available through the same provider. Fees and reservation requirements apply.

The resort is located in Fajardo on Puerto Rico's east coast, near the ferry gateway to Vieques and Culebra, El Yunque National Forest, beaches, and local dining. El Yunque's entrance is approximately a 35-minute drive from the resort.

Palomino Island is El Conquistador Resort's private 100-acre island getaway, available exclusively to resort guests and members. Resort guests can access the island by the resort’s ferry boat and enjoy its beach, water activities, dining, and scenic Caribbean setting.

Guests travel to Palomino Island via the resort's ferry. The ride from El Conquistador Resort is approximately 10-15 minutes. Guests should check the current schedule and operating conditions during their stay.

Palomino Island offers a secluded beach escape with pristine sand, ocean views, water sports, relaxation, and dining options. Availability of specific activities, services, and hours may vary by season and weather conditions.

El Conquistador Resort is perched above the Atlantic Ocean and provides exclusive resort guest access to Palomino Island, its private beach destination. Guests can take the water taxi for a dedicated island beach day.

El Conquistador Resort offers a variety of rooms and suites with ocean views, including La Marina Ocean View accommodations, Las Vistas Ocean View rooms, and spacious Las Brisas one-bedroom oceanfront suites. Room configurations and features vary by accommodation type.

El Conquistador Resort is exclusive to resort guests and members. Day passes are unavailable.

Yes. Guests can explore live views from the resort toward Palomino Island, the Arrival Plaza, El Yunque, and Palomino Island itself through the resort's live camera page.

Yes. El Conquistador Resort offers a range of dining experiences across the property, including options at the resort and on Palomino Island. Offerings, restaurant hours, reservations, and menus may change seasonally.

Outside vendors will not be allowed to enter the premises for food deliveries.  Any guest ordering food items from an outside vendor should decide to pick up such items either at the establishment or at the resort's main gate. 

Guests are not permitted to bring outside food or beverages into any public areas of the resort, including but not limited to restaurants, bars, lounges, pool, Coquí Water Park, Palomino Island, meeting spaces, and recreational facilities.

Special Dietary Needs: Guests with specific dietary restrictions or medical conditions may notify the server of such so they can notify the chef and make accommodations.

Yes. The resort team can help guests plan transportation through First Class Destination Solutions and can provide guidance for exploring Fajardo, El Yunque, ferry connections, and other Puerto Rico experiences with our partners at Saltours.

Yes. El Conquistador Resort is a leading Caribbean destination for meetings and events, with 100,000 square feet of indoor event space, 40,000 square feet of outdoor venues, and tailored planning services.

Yes. Couples can celebrate with ocean-view and beachfront outdoor venues, themed dinners under the stars, and elegant indoor ballroom spaces. The resort's team can help cater ceremonies, receptions, and group stays in Puerto Rico.

Yes. With extensive indoor and outdoor event space, a broad range of accommodations, and professional planning support, the resort is well suited to large meetings, incentive groups, weddings, reunions, and special occasions.

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am.

We only accept ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) certified service dogs. We kindly ask our guests to refrain from bringing pets to the resort, as a cleaning fee of $350 will be automatically charged to their room. Please note that while there is no pet fee for service animals, however, if additional cleaning or repair is required, the cleaning fee will apply.

We are a no-smoking resort to ensure an enjoyable environment for all our guests. To promote a comfortable and safe atmosphere, smoking is strictly prohibited in indoor and outdoor areas of the resort, including but not limited to:

• Guest rooms and balconies
• Restaurants and bars, except for the Hightide rooftop bar and Cigar Bar.
• Public areas, including lobbies and hallways
• Pools, Coquí Water Park, and Palomino Island
• Meeting and event spaces

Electronic cigarettes and vaping devices are also prohibited in indoor public spaces and outdoor areas such as restaurants, pools, Coquí Water Park, Palomino Island, and others.
We ask all guests to respect our no-smoking policy to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. If you witness any policy violation, please report it to the front desk immediately.
Please note: The Hightide Rooftop Bar, and the Cigar Bar, offer a space where smoking and cigar enjoyment are welcome.

Professional photography, videography, and drone use may require advance approval and may be subject to resort policies, safety requirements, privacy considerations, and applicable permits. Contact the resort before planning a photoshoot or drone activity.
